Coating Technician

The Aramco Certified Coater will be responsible for applying protective coatings to various surfaces, including metals, concrete, and other materials, in accordance with Saudi Aramco’s standards and industry best practices. This role involves preparing surfaces, selecting the appropriate coatings, and ensuring the coatings are applied correctly and efficiently. The individual will work to ensure the longevity and durability of equipment, structures, and systems, protecting them from corrosion and wear.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Surface Preparation:

   - Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sandblasting, grinding, or other methods to ensure proper adhesion of the coating material.

   - Ensure surfaces are free from dirt, grease, rust, and other contaminants that could affect the coating's effectiveness.

2. Coating Application:

   - Apply protective coatings such as paint, epoxy, and other industrial coatings to surfaces based on project specifications.

Operate and maintain coating application equipment, such as spray guns, rollers, and brushes, ensuring proper application techniques are followed.

   - Ensure the correct mixing of coatings, including the use of hardeners and activators, to achieve the required specifications.
