Safety Supervisor

The Safety Supervisor at Saudi Aramco plays a crucial role in ensuring that all safety practices and standards are followed on-site, especially in high-risk environments such as oil and gas operations. The role focuses on preventing accidents, protecting workers, and ensuring compliance with Saudi Aramco's stringent safety policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1.      Ensure Safety Compliance:

   -  Safety  documents preparation, Monitor adherence to safety regulations and  procedures, including those specific to Saudi Aramco standards.

   - Conduct routine checks to ensure all personnel are using personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols.

   - Enforce company policies, safety guidelines, and relevant local/national safety laws.

2. Safety Inspections and Audits:

   - Conduct regular safety inspections of worksites, equipment, and infrastructure to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

   - Assist in preparing for internal and external safety audits, ensuring all corrective actions are documented and followed through.

3. Incident and Accident Reporting:

   - Investigate safety incidents or accidents and provide detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.

A bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field is typically required.

  - Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) is preferred.

- Experience:

  - Minimum of 5 years of safety-related experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

  - In-depth knowledge of Saudi Aramco safety standards, procedures, and regulations.

  - Proven experience in managing safety for high-risk environments, including construction, maintenance, and industrial operations.

 

- Skills:

  - Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk management, and hazard identification.

  - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  - Ability to lead safety training and workshops effectively.

  - Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.

- Certifications:

  - Saudi Aramco safety certification or any recognized safety certification is highly preferred.

  - First aid and CPR certification.

  - H2S Awareness or similar certification, especially for high-risk areas.

Personal Attributes:

- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in conducting inspections.

- Ability to remain calm and effective during emergency situations.

- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and guide teams towards a safety-first culture.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a high-risk environment.

Work Environment:

- The role may require working in harsh and hazardous environments, including remote oil fields, industrial plants, and construction zones.

- Physical demands may include walking or inspecting large work sites, as well as being available during emergency situations.
